This program is designed for children who are starting Prep/Foundation at a mainstream Primary School in 2026. Over the course of this 5-day program, children will practise the skills needed to support a smooth transition into school.
Children will:
Participate in routines common to the school environment,
Practise motor skills,
Learn basic literacy skills, and
Engage in collaborative discussion groups.
At the same time, OTs will identify and explore targeted strategies and supports that respect your child’s individual differences and enable them to engage, interact, and learn best.
This program includes 5 x 2-hour sessions over 5 days.
Following completion of the program, you will receive a comprehensive report detailing:
Your child’s strengths,
Areas to support, and
Some helpful strategies.
This report is designed to be shared with your child’s new teacher and/or learning support staff.
